After the Chicago Cubs’ playoff ball is destroyed on Thursday, February 26th at 7:32 p.m., another ball will be demolished when a giant 75 pound Eli’s Cheesecake in the shape of an authentic baseball is rolled on stage and will be served to the crowd at Harry Carays Restaurant. The super-sized baseball created by The Eli’s Cheesecake Bakery of Chicago, includes everything from red licorice for the stitching to airbrushed scuff marks. The mind-boggling grocery list to make this cheesecake includes 50 pounds of cream cheese, 20 pounds of sugar, four dozen eggs, and 20 pounds of buttercream frosting.
Eli’s is delighted to donate the baseball cheesecake as well as additional cheesecakes to benefit the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
Harry Carays is located at 33 West Kinzie in Chicago, IL. Eli’s giant baseball cheesecake will be on stage in the tent.
