Regulatory Affairs Compliance Specialist

Food Regulatory Compliance Specialist

SUMMARY
The position’s primary function provides technical support to Customers, Food Safety, Marketing, Supply Chain and R&D as well as to ensure that regulatory, nutritional, and food safety documentation/ programs comply with global requirements.  Provides technical support for variety of activities related to new product development, product reformulations and other regulatory issues as they arise. Apply and develop knowledge and experience of regulations, foods and nutrition, and, as appropriate, scientific assessment

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: BS degree (Food Science/Food Technology/Nutrition preferred) or 3 – 5 years food manufacturing regulatory affairs experience. Highly proficient skills using MS Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, ESHA Genesis or other nutritional database software. Knowledge of quality tools, quality trend reporting, advanced computer and writing skills, regulatory and compliance guidelines

Have strong knowledge of and experience with Certificates of Analysis (COAs), Product Specification Sheets, Nutritional Panels, Letters of Guarantee, Kosher Certificates, Organic Certificates, GMO Free Certification, Storage Specifications, and New Vendor Surveys.
